The difference between LBA and ABZ is that one is surrounded by multiple big EZY bases and the other is relatively isolated and underserved

Umm, they do actually. The flights from Amritsar to Birmingham serve the large Sikh community in the West Midlands. It’s like how EL AL into Luton serves the Jewish community which is specific to North London. Amritsar to Gatwick serves the Sikh community in London.

But it’s clearly not by the look of things.
