It just seems to get worse. All the time. I'm at the point where I'm sort of done looking at the positive side of things for now, because I don't know how worse it can get. I didn't foresee SunExpress pulling out, easyJet pulling out, or now Aurigny, and I almost don't want to know what happens next
A: I hope he follows through, it'd be an improvement on many local politicians
B: I hope that doesn't alienate anyone thinking of supporting LBA. Reform is very marmite - you either love them or, like me, despise them
Seemingly the Jet2 B738s have decided to come home now - yesterday G-JZHW made her first visit of the year, another one where it's been so long since she visited it predates the resumption of my records. My previous recorded visit is 05/02/2023. Just G-JZBO left now for this year - I do know the...
6 people able to use each scanner at once - that’s better than most places I’ve been to. I guess that means 30 people can be moved on through at the same time
Yesterday Jet2 B738 G-JZBH made her first LBA visit of this calendar year. Her previous visit was so long ago it predates the resumption of my records over a year ago, my previous record of her visiting LBA was 27/01/2023. Yet to visit this year are G-JZBO and G-JZHW
Yesterday's visitors

Thought it would be fun to mention that yesterday Jet2 B738 G-JZBG made it's first LBA visit in 364 days
Jet2 B738s yet to visit LBA this year are G-JZBH, G-JZBO, G-JZHW
Not strictly related to EZY, but I think we’ve lost out double here, as I believe the CDG route killed Ryanair’s route to BVA. It was never the strongest performer, but numbers certainly dipped after easyJet joined the fray, to the point where last September the loads were averaging around 30%...
There's nothing else I can do, because of my location and age anyone I could ask to support additionally either wouldn't care or would just never get around to it, and any groups I'm in would be preaching to the converted. The closest people to the airport I know live in Harrogate and it's...
Earlier today LS267 to Paris CDG operated by, you guessed it, G-GDFO, returned to the airport 40 minutes after departure, with G-GDFR operating EXS267D with a 2 hour delay
LS431 operated by G-GDFN has returned to stand, I wonder if this has affected fire cover as nothing has moved since LS284...
What I've found with Wizz is they tend to kind of do whatever they want, sense be damned. I remember they dropped one of their routes for 2 months at some point, only for it to return (bit like Warsaw is this winter, except only Nov-Dec).
Cluj has varied from, if my memory serves correctly...
Ryanair appear to be starting to put Summer 2027 on sale. Only the obvious routes (ALC, DUB, FUE, KRK, ACE, AGP, PMI, TFS and maybe some more I forgot) appear to actually have their own legitimate schedules and aren't just carbon copies of this summer so far. From what I can tell the scheduling...
Ah, I mistook the number of objections for the number of supporters. I guess that's what happens when it was well over a decade before my time
Either way, I'd say we're doing pretty well on the support front, no way would I have predicted 4000 supportive comments in such a small space of time...
Excellent report Heather!
So let me get this straight... the council opened up the application to public comment without consulting the airport, then seemingly didn't expect them to launch their own campaign, and the subsequent wave of support completely took them by surprise. On the upside...
