Cardiff: Vueling Flights, New Routes & Schedule Updates

ALC was previously 4 in 2024 and 2025, and AGP 6 in 2024, and they still operated to CWL. With more bases at other Spanish airports there's no reason they can't move schedules around to free up space on aircraft at ALC and AGP. They could even operate double sectors from those bases as internal...

    CAA Provisional Statistics Update

It will attract a lot of international support so id be very surprised if they dont. They could put on the evening arrival and night stop and take people back at 6am for anyone that wanted a quick stop over.

    Cardiff: Route Development & Rumours

More affluent area. Catchment plays a big part.

    Cardiff: Route Development & Rumours

That's a good, but slightly ambitious wishlist but achieveable in the long term. I'm not convinced that New York or even Dubai will ever be seen at CWL. Long haul to the regions isn't what it used to be and any routes like that would require some level of funding and would likely be marginal...

Cardiff: WestJet Transatlantic News & Discussions

You are indeed correct, which I didn't account for. That actually puts the LF at 92.2%!

    CAA Provisional Statistics Update

August 2026 stats Another strong month for some routes. 140,788 passengers, up 14% on 2025 with 123,785. Rolling year stands at 1,064,855. Westjet had a good month at 87% LF. Looks like FR and VY had a good month on their routes. TUI's LF's included. Some routes still struggling (FAO, DBV...

Cardiff: Ryanair Flights, New Routes & Schedule Updates

It's always been an interesting one for me comparing these two airlines. On the face of it, they should be very similar in operations, so it baffles me why Loganair is generally so much more expensive than Aer Lingus/Emerald. Specifically to CWL, EDI was always carrying more numbers than BHD...

Cardiff: General Airport Discussion & Updates

Still looks tacky. They should've stuck with a black, red and white style that is on the right of the photo.

    CAA Provisional Statistics Update

July CAA Passenger stats Terminal Passengers: 135937, up 12% on 2025 from 121460. One of the highest increases by percentage of UK regional airports. Rolling year stands at 1.047m. Load Factors on scheduled routes:

Cardiff: General Airport Discussion & Updates

Based on evidence you've seen and can share with us or just personal opinion? Ive seen several Canadian articles about the route and the target of Canadian Tourists to Wales. Isn't that the exact argument used against the 'close it, its a white elephant brigade!'? How do you know they arent...

Cardiff: General Airport Discussion & Updates

This contradicts your entire narrative on pprune and above. Most of the things you've dragged up are historic failings of the airport. Most of which people wouldn't disagree with you on. QR and BE were failed attempts at growth. But its confined to the history books. But this latest post above...

Cardiff: Aer Lingus Flight Status, Hub News & Discussion

I saw a post about a load of cuts they've made to flights to Scotland. So they are either scaling back like other Airlines and moving schedules around, or they may be kind and give CWL an extra flight or two. One can hope!

Cardiff: TUi Airways Flights, New Routes & Base Updates

You'll be surprised how much of that is online algorithm. The more you talk/type TUI, the more you'll see of TUI on internet ads.

Cardiff: Ryanair Flights, New Routes & Schedule Updates

Its only Dec and Jan so far, maybe more will come in February. But I think I read somewhere that 80% of their fuel is already hedged, so cutting winter may just be that saving on the remainjbg 20% they need. To put a positive spin on it... seeing BRS-ALC go down quite a few flights to 3x...

Bristol: Discover Airlines Route News & Schedule Updates

Reading the article it seems more a tourist route for German tourists coming to the UK. Likely will be part of a package/tour deal I'd imagine.

Cardiff: TUi Airways Flights, New Routes & Base Updates

Indeed. Lets not forget TUI are a holiday charter airline. They tend to release their holidays well in advance as opposed to scheduled airlines that release 6 months before. So any expansion will likely be due very soon. More W patterns are likely to be the case than jumping straight into a...

Cardiff: Vueling Flights, New Routes & Schedule Updates

Took them long enough to catch up. What's interesting (again) is the responses to the article. Many people pointing out their poor spelling/grammar, or that its just Vueling and in Winter. A lot less of the usual "Close it!" "Waste of tax payer" responses.
