Dicussions relating to London Stansted Airport
After winning their appeal against the local councils U turn and refusal to allow expansion to 43m pax per year, Stansted Airport have demanded 2.2m in compensation from Uttlesford Council to cover their legal costs. The Council's first offer was dismissed by the airport but they have now offered just over £2m which the airport are considering..

A salutary lesson to the council's and organisations that oppose airport development. Lose, and it could be costly.
