Fly One

Possibly a delay on the arrival of their A319?

The fleet listings websites still show them as having only A320's.

Having delayed the launch its now being reported on PPRuNe that FlyOne will now have just one weekly flight (Tue/Thu dropped, Saturday remaining).

I believe Adria and Belavia both survive out of MAN with just 1 weekly seasonal flight each so I wouldn't write this route off just yet, but it is worrying as FlyOne haven't even started flights...

Adrian is 2 weekly at MAN.

Noticed Air One went to 1 weekly a few weeks ago, but didn't report it in case it changed again.

Sorry, too many Air one, Jet2, flyone, flair jet and so on. Gets confusing.

After the scandal with planes, delayed racing or at least delayed data, the
fly one company announces the cancellation of several races.

The "Birmingham-Chișinău" races for July, August and early September were
cancelled. Such advisories received the customers of fly one, who are
proposed to refund the ticket or return money.

I'm a bit confused.

The article above makes out that flights up until early sept are cancelled, but on checking the website it seems the weekly flights are available up until 2nd Sept, but then any date after that returns 'no flights'.

It's a shame really, this was one route I would have hoped done well as I thought it was a great niche route, but maybe FlyOne were not the right company for the job?

it wouldn't surprise me if this service never happened, their website does still however show flight starting on the 15th July, but they don't even own an A319 so the aircraft type is wrong for starters!!

First FlyOne has just departed over a 100 pax checking in, so looks to be off to a decent start

The news article quoted above was only referring to the service start up being delayed until July and running only until early September, with several services having to be cancelled

The service was planned to be 3 p/w, so 100 pax is not good divided by three, but well done to Fly One, who adjusted their schedule so that they could start the Birmingham service as soon as possible, before the aircraft that was due to operate this flight (An A319) had actually been delivered!

I kept an eye on the Flyone website and it wasn't on sale at 3x weekly for long. It originally dropped to 2x weekly then down to once, there were periods where it wasn't bookable at all.

Taking that into account and the fact that it was sold as an A319 right up until a few days before I think 120 odd pax is great 👍

Heads Up!

Flying is the second greatest thrill known to man.... Landing is the first!
i must be a lunatic. Friday 25th Sept will see me doing a daytrip that involves me leaving my flat in Manchester at 1am and not getting back home until after midnight. All because I'm doing a Loch Ness and Scottish Highlands trip.... out of Glasgow
For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
