Cardiff: Airport Cargo Operations

All that is true. But I live in the Middle East and we do not get an A330 full of fresh produce per day from Egypt and we cannot grow most of these things at any time of the year. Egypt’s exports to UK are mainly frozen strawberries, mangoes, dates, courgettes and onions April to September. This represents an awful lot of strawberries, mangoes and dates…. It must surely be split consignments.

Just for information Egypt Air operated an A33X into BHX today for the second time over the last month using the flight No.MS5530 which I believe is the designated number for the the Cardiff route due to to start shortly.

I don't know the implications if any or if it's even related maybe just ops. while the Cardiff route is set up?I have a contact who understands its fresh food but he is very much on the periphery of the Air freight industry so make of it what you wish.

I suppose we'll find out when/if the flights start.

I noticed that on FR24.

How reputable are these reports for these cargo flights? I haven't seen an official announcement apart from less reputable sources. I tried to dig further but found nothing. Any thoughts?
EgyptAir Cargo management announced these flights during the El Alamein Air Show. A press release on an Egyptian government website (https://sis.gov.eg/en/media-center/...cessfully-participates-in-el-alamein-airshow/) outlined a strategic push to support agricultural export corridors and introducing the new routes.

Industry flight scheduling tools have confirmed the flights as planned on a daily basis. While the operations may never occur, there is little doubt the information is legitimate and the flights have been planned.

Heads Up!

i must be a lunatic. Friday 25th Sept will see me doing a daytrip that involves me leaving my flat in Manchester at 1am and not getting back home until after midnight. All because I'm doing a Loch Ness and Scottish Highlands trip.... out of Glasgow
For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
