Not really as there are quite a few docs and they are all quite long…….Most interesting to read first is LBAs response to the various comments received todate on their application.

So it has. Probably the result of the various organisations studying the application, and wishing to submit comments but failing to meet the two previous deadlines.

Some of the queries raised, including by Bradford Council, demonstrate a real lack of understanding as to how aviation works. I have read most, but not all, of the recent response by the LBA consultant, which seeks to address all these comments. It must be said though that most are seeking clarification rather than objecting.

Doesn't really matter as they are not making any decision before January.

I can't bare it. LCC needs some different political colours running the place, preferably of none green colours. They are slowly but surely destroying the city bit by bit.

Well if folk keep on voting for them, that isn't going to happen. Leeds pays the penalty for the large student population, many of whom vote Green. No coincidence that the anti airport comments accelerated rapidly just as the students arrived back.

It seems LBA have now been told about yet another extension, as they have posted on FB confirming it and asking people to add their support.

Incidentally, I reported recently that LBA had submitted a Freedom of Information request for the Council to disclose the total support received via LBAs on line campaign, and which LCC are treating as a petition. I asked if LBA would share the figures with me/us and the answer was yes, once they get them - which obviously will now be further delayed due to this 3rd extension to the consultation period.

They should just ignore that certain group and approve it in accordance with Government and CAA policy. Only this week the Transport Minister commented about the need for successful regional airports. The more the council pander to the teddybear lovers, the more trouble they will cause.
