They are however like most other businesses having to contend with a significant increase in employment costs as a result of recent political policy changes together with a massive increase in business costs which seem to have hit the airport sector hard…….Hopefully for both employees and the employer the situation can get resolved without the need for strike action which in the longer term will benefit neither party…..The airport may have made a loss, but this is for a specific reason - carefully planned capital investment to enable the airport to grow substantially in the medium term. The loss has been planned for, and the airport has been profitable in preceding years, this isn’t a struggling business.
