Leeds Bradford: Jet2 Flights, New Routes & Base Updates

Use this prefix for new threads for Leeds Bradford Airport
I presume they will be replaced by a couple of the oldest 800s from elsewhere in the Jet2 fleet whilst the new A321s are being delivered to MAN?
Just seen the last 2 new A321’s delivered to Jet2 were built in Mobile, Alabama in the US….I thought all Airbuses were built in Europe…
Not any more. Europe, and now the USA, and for the last few years, China, where several of our Wizz Air A321NEO visitors were built.

Not forgetting the 29 U.K. Airbus locations including Filton ( wing, landing gear, fuel system design) and Broughton (wing manufacture) which contribute £7 billion to the U.K. economy.

Better than a rehashed version build in some Chinese sweat shop.

Calling something a “rehash from a Chinese sweatshop” says rather more about your perception of China than it does about the quality of the aircraft.

China is now a major global manufacturing and engineering powerhouse. Dismissing an entire country’s manufacturing capability because of where something is made is a pretty outdated argument.

I’ll judge an aircraft on its engineering, safety record and maintenance standards, not its postcode of manufacture.

I bet you're glad you didn't fly on one of the early MAX aircraft which were made in the mighty US of A.

Exactly how the media portrays china is so false, most chinesse cities and their tech is decades ahead of what the west offers! China is certainly somewhere id love to visit.

Before I sold my business last December I went there every years for the last 18 years…the change has been amazing..the tech recently is miles ahead of the rest of the world.

Heads Up!

Flying is the second greatest thrill known to man.... Landing is the first!
i must be a lunatic. Friday 25th Sept will see me doing a daytrip that involves me leaving my flat in Manchester at 1am and not getting back home until after midnight. All because I'm doing a Loch Ness and Scottish Highlands trip.... out of Glasgow
For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
