Cardiff: Airport Recruitment

Use this prefix for new threads for Cardiff Airport
Good that he has experience at another airport in the UK especially one that like Cardiff lives in the shadow of bigger airports nearby.
It'll be interesting to see if he's able to develop CWLs long haul connections especially through hubs.

Is he dooing what the current CEO used to do at CWL?

Isn't this the job that the current CEO used to do at CWL before being promoted to his present position?

What is the name of the person who has been appointed?
Marc Watkins
"Yesterday was my first day as Aviation Development Manager at Cardiff Airport. I'm very excited that I've joined the fabulous team and enthusiastic to be leading on the Airport’s route recovery.
I am really looking forward to meeting with my existing airline and tour operator contacts, whilst building new relationships with industry colleagues at those carriers that will soon hopefully be flying into Wales’ capital city airport. #CWL"

That's the full post of what he wrote.

Thanks Jerry, Let's hope he is successful, he has got a very big job on his hands.

The airport has just posted a job advert for the Executive lounge as well. So hopefully this is a sign that they and other employers on the airport see some normality to air travel returning.

There seems to be many posts on offer at the airport of late, perhaps the management know a little more than us, about future prospects.

To my knowledge I believe the executive lounge may have been closed so it appears the aim is to re-open it and hence the requirement of staff.

Many other roles equates to what appears to be the gearing up for Summer. I would assume Swissport are also recruiting ready for the Summer.

this time of year has always been known for recruitment gearing up for the summer and clearly it seems everyone is more optimistic.

Didn’t they only recruit a marketing guru late last year? 🤔
Who, admittedly, does a reasonable job - but there is a lot more that could be done…

Maybe they're expanding the team or that person left?

Heads Up!

Flying is the second greatest thrill known to man.... Landing is the first!
i must be a lunatic. Friday 25th Sept will see me doing a daytrip that involves me leaving my flat in Manchester at 1am and not getting back home until after midnight. All because I'm doing a Loch Ness and Scottish Highlands trip.... out of Glasgow
For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
