Longhaul from Bristol

The same could be said for example in attracting someone like jet blue for New York.
I think with North American airlines it has to remembered that a lot of their focus will be on destinations their American and Canadian customers want to visit and are visiting. With UK based customers they may well be more happier to funnel them through their alliance partners ie BA for American and KLM/Virgin for Delta. With an airline like JetBlue it needs to be remembered that they're also a bit of a market disruptor so may well look towards the destinations it's competition flies to rather than opening new unique destinations.
Also with JetBlue their neoLR are pretty premium heavy with 24 suites instead of the 16 their domestic neoLR have they'd want to be confident of filling them.

Heads Up!

Flying is the second greatest thrill known to man.... Landing is the first!
i must be a lunatic. Friday 25th Sept will see me doing a daytrip that involves me leaving my flat in Manchester at 1am and not getting back home until after midnight. All because I'm doing a Loch Ness and Scottish Highlands trip.... out of Glasgow
For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
