From what I gather your post was factually correct and shouldn't have been deleted, however for future reference it is always best to say "believed to be" if there is any doubt.
Yes I agree, should never say 'ending' until the airline have confirmed, for all we know and hopefully this maybe a website update.

Even "Wizz air appear to have taken xxx routes off-sale"....this is a factual observation. Its doesn't preclude them being added back etc. But "Wizz air WILL end the following routes on the following dates" is more certain than anyone knows...

...and to emphasis the point, it would indeed this routes were not cancelled...

BHX-OTP and BHX-SCV are now back on sale for Summer 2027, thought not available over winter.... so things are clearly fluid!

Lessons need to be learned here - DO NOT post on Social Media such as X until you know the whole story, DO NOT guess, it can do a lot of damage.

The Wizz Air chap wasn't kidding when he said they're looking at cutting capacity to the UK due to APD.

Rome seemed inevitable and four on the route always felt a bit too saturated. Hopefully easyjet, Ryanair and Jet2 will now see improved yields.

Leaving Bucharest to just Ryanair felt a little odd as it seems a strong route for Wizz.

Great to see Suceava isn't lost 👍

I can't speak for BHX, but at LBA Ryanair has higher loads than Wizz for Bucharest (similar pax figures but Wizz has more capacity). However I do always say it's so much better for the market if both airlines stay on the route, the size really does surprise me and Ryanair rarely fulfil the full market potential on their own

Agadir - Jet2, Ryanair, easyjet, TUi

Marrakesh - Jet2, Ryanair, easyet, TUi

Enfidha - Jet2, easyjet

Hurghada - Jet2, easyjet, TUi

Sharm-El-Sheikh - Jet2, easyjet, TUi

Larnaca - Jet2, easyjet, TUi

Paphos - Jet2, Ryanair, TUi

These destinations seem pretty well covered to me, I'm not sure that adding a Wizz service and potentially diluting yields would be beneficial?

Hopefully when/if the world sorts itself out we'll see Wizz add flights from their bases in Central and Eastern Europe, there are plenty of decent options.

Heads Up!

i must be a lunatic. Friday 25th Sept will see me doing a daytrip that involves me leaving my flat in Manchester at 1am and not getting back home until after midnight. All because I'm doing a Loch Ness and Scottish Highlands trip.... out of Glasgow
For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
