A few extra flights too Edinburgh for the Scotland game. 2 from Loganair (LM338 is the regular flight), 1 from TUI. I suspect BA is the Wales team.

Looks like with Loganair some of the extra flights might be operated by an ATR42

With Volotea operating flights for the Rugby World Cup, hopefully we'll see more airlines like Vueling and Ryanair operate some flights? The other games are in Nice (Portugal) and Bordeaux (Fiji). I've no doubt we'll see plenty of charters as well.

Got my flight itinerary through from Gullivers Sport for the Rugby World Cup in October (the Georgia game). Outbound is direct and looking at the times with Volotea and the return is via Amsterdam with KLM. They did offer me an alternative too fly with Easyjet from Bristol but i turned it down, it does make me wonder though how many rugby fans will be offered the same choice as me and opt for the Bristol flight and not fly from Cardiff. Hopefully we might see Volotea add some more flights over time.

Why couldn't you fly back direct to CWL from Nantes on the flight Volotea have been advertising, or did you have to fly back on the Sunday for work?

Because I fly back on the 9th. Mine is a 3 night package. I'm going to watch Japan v Argentina on the 8th.

Thanks Jerry, is the Volotea flight a Gullivers charter or has the flight been put on by the airline itself.

Departures for the Italy v Wales game in the 6 Nations in Rome which is on Saturday

Looks like Jet2 will be operating 2 fan charters too Croatia for the football, there's also a Corendon Airlines charter as well. I don't see what could be the teams charter flight though.

Not the most glamorous departure for the Welsh rugby team today. They’re heading to Le Bourget on G-CMFI (an Eastern Airways ATR72) - however am looking forward to an array of different carriers operating to/from CWL to various points in France over the next few weeks…

And of course best of luck to Wales in the tournament!

🙂

Sounds like there'll be a decent contingent of fans inbound from Latvia then!

Heads Up!

Flying is the second greatest thrill known to man.... Landing is the first!
i must be a lunatic. Friday 25th Sept will see me doing a daytrip that involves me leaving my flat in Manchester at 1am and not getting back home until after midnight. All because I'm doing a Loch Ness and Scottish Highlands trip.... out of Glasgow
For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
