Leeds Bradford: Aircraft Movements, Flight Logs & Daily Heads Up

Use this prefix for new threads for Leeds Bradford Airport
I hear that those that shall not be named have sensitive listening devices installed that detect even the smallest whisper of aircraft noise, said device then wakes them up from their deep sleep so they can complain about the noise.
A very plausible explanation, although some of them never sleep as they spend their entire lives at a PC monitoring movements and logging them.

Oh do I know how that feels!

The airport should do them a favour. They should get on the blower and call them up before each and every movement so they can be prepared with their laptop at the ready.

At night i normally do something called going to sleep! If planes are not on your mind you usually dont hear them, its the way the brain works.
Sad pathetic creatures out there!

Wow

En route due 13.28
As it's a quiet NEO hopefully out friendly locally complainer won't be making a sung and dance about it!!!!

Weather, Commercial traffic and technicals permitting - a D-Day commemorative fly past at LBA at some point this afternoon. Stearman and 2 Tiger Moths.
Unfortunately the Stearman pilot was unable to fly and one Tiger went tech. so just G-BAFG was able to fly. After fly-pasts at a number of pre-determined locations LBA was just too busy with commercials and after holding over Eccup for a while fuel state dictated a return to base. Nearly!!

Heads Up!

i must be a lunatic. Friday 25th Sept will see me doing a daytrip that involves me leaving my flat in Manchester at 1am and not getting back home until after midnight. All because I'm doing a Loch Ness and Scottish Highlands trip.... out of Glasgow
For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
