Leeds Bradford: Airport Website

Use this prefix for new threads for Leeds Bradford Airport
When I am on the website and try to access flight arrivals, it comes up with yellow rectangles and no data. Anyone else having problems?

All ok here, full data being shown. Maybe just a temporary glitch when you went on?

I'm having the same problem as Seasider, with both Arrivals and Departures. Something not right somewhere!

No problems for me either, tried using Safari browser on an Apple and both Microsoft Edge and Firefox and Windows 10, all OK.

Still not working for me, using either Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome with Windows 10. MAN and DSA both fine!!

You need to clear the cache I think....its got the old data in it.....just press refresh a couple oif times that hopefully will sort it.

Spot on there. When we've made changes to the forum there's always somebody who says it's not working for them but once they've cleared cache and cookies it works.

You need to do it through your browser settings. For example Google Chrome click on the top right and it should be listed there.

I note today that LBA have removed the reference to Frankfurt under the list of German destinations from LBA - which is sensible given that when trying to book it directed us to flights from MAN. However, less satisfactory is that Madrid is shown under Spanish destinations - and that too directs us to MAN. Now I know that both are destinations that LBA really want but I refuse to get excited at the possibility that they are both a sign of routes to come. Berlin is still shown though - and I understood that route was now canned by Jet2? If so, that is another they want, but for now need to remove.

What an absolute farce where an airport us actively promoting a competitors direct service. If it was a case of offering a routing over Amsterdam, for an example, I would understand but to direct sell a flight out of Manchester is almost tantamount to "death by a thousand cuts"!!

It could also be used statistically to highlight the number of peopke who were seeking direct flights from Leeds.

Have to say I put in the dates for our June flight to Geneva and its given me flights via AMS from LBA which is our normal option with Dublin.
Its not offered me any other local airport.
This was the same outcome when I put in my daughters regular New York dates, it gave me her actual flights to Dublin and then onwards to New York, which we know from experience maximises her working time in New York and the quickest connection times.
It allows her to be at LBA at 7.30am and in the New york office working by 3pm. and on Thurday work late and then catch the late night flight to Dublin, ensuring she is in London for 9am Friday. Being a good Yorkshire lass she also saves a night in a hotel, sleeping on the plane.
When she flew Man to Shannon and then New York it meant a 4.30am pick up for me, now 2 hours more kip.

Press release has now appeared on the airports website regards the website change last month.

Parallax Agency Launch new website for Leeds Bradford Airport

Leeds based Digital Marketing Agency Parallax, has recently launched a new website for Yorkshire’s Leeds Bradford Airport.

With Leeds Bradford aiming to continue growing passenger numbers, a new website and brand refresh will help to assist and meet the digital demands across the aviation industry.

This is the first time Parallax Agency are working with Leeds Bradford in what has been a successful project. The new website shows off destination and flight information, as well as a range of helpful guides for passengers.

Director of Parallax, Dario Grandich, describes how this project has been such a success:
“We created a new website to offer travelling passengers a brilliant user experience and showcase Leeds Bradford Airport as a great airport to fly from. Our aim was to make the new website incredibly fast and easy to use, adding inspirational content to encourage Yorkshire residents to fly from LBA”.

Faye Oakey, Ecommerce Manager at Leeds Bradford Airport, said:
“We are delighted to launch our new website which is dedicated to offering a first-class user-experience.

“The online experience for our customers is transformed with key improvements to the site speed, usability and access to helpful information as well as inspiring design and content to reflect our brand.

“With an overall aim to create an airport that Yorkshire can be proud of, we want our website to attract passengers to use our airport that serves our great region and the surrounding area.

“We are now embarking on development to our booking experience making it easier to pre-book parking, lounges and fast track, so our customers can get their trips off to a great start.”

Parallax are now starting on phase 2 of the project, which will focus on improving the Ecommerce performance; making it easier for new and returning customers to buy airport parking, lounges and fast-track.

Any thoughts on the LBA website these days? No news, no press releases. Fast track booking not working properly?

Any thoughts on the LBA website these days? No news, no press releases. Fast track booking not working properly?
Fast track booking works but is restricted to a set number each day. When the limit is reached, no more are available. This excludes Ryanair as they have a contract with LBA allowing them to sell fast track on their flight booking system.
However, the airport are posting absolutely nothing. No press releases (and some that were published were later removed), no information on the terminal extension or anything else. It's clear that they are now operating on the basis that they will say as little as possible. Perhaps after what happened with the terminal, that's not such a bad thing.

Knowledge is power!! Certainly hoping for some further terminal extension news before too much longer

It will come via the Consultative Committee and, me! Eventually the airport will share the design and programme of works with the committee, but there's a way to go yet before that.

Heads Up!

i must be a lunatic. Friday 25th Sept will see me doing a daytrip that involves me leaving my flat in Manchester at 1am and not getting back home until after midnight. All because I'm doing a Loch Ness and Scottish Highlands trip.... out of Glasgow
For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
