They are meaningless as only the objections are logged plus any 'own words' support. The vast majority of the support remains invisible to the public and apparently we wont know the true amount until the figures are included in the Planning Officer's report and recommendations.Any idea what the current positive and negative totals are?
Well that sounds very positive from Bradford council, a few minor amendments here and there but generally supportive of the amendments to night flying. With the weight of Bradford Council surely Leeds City Council must take note of this, mind you this is Leeds we are talking about so anything can happen.Bradford Council’s response to the planning application has just been put on the portal. Broadly supportive with reservations regarding some of the statistics on aircraft movements and its impact on road traffic patterns with a suggestion LBA pay for the A1, A2 and A3 airport buses to become a 24 hour service.
Still showing 15th October for me looking on the portalLooks like the consultation deadline has been extended to 4th November.
Mine says 4th Nov for consulation stage.Still showing 15th October for me looking on the portal
Definitely says 4th November.Still showing 15th October for me looking on the portal
Are you sure you’re looking at the correct application? If I search on the portal under LBA the night time application is third in the list. The first one on the list is for Premier Inn which spookily has a closing date of 4 November!Mine says 4th Nov for consulation stage.

Apologies. As you said Len.Are you sure you’re looking at the correct application? If I search on the portal under LBA the night time application is third in the list. The first one on the list is for Premier Inn which spookily has a closing date of 4 November!
Well providing cycle parking shouldn't be too costly, although Im not sure who would use it.As I understand it today just marks the end of the consultation period, the next stage being consideration of the application by the Plans Panel (West) the next meeting of which is on Thursday 29 October, followed by another on 26 November.
On the planning portal the determination deadline is showing as 17 November but who knows with LCC who seem to regard deadlines as a moveable feast. I just have a feeling this will drag on and on.
In other news two more documents have appeared on the portal, one from the Environmental Studies Transport Strategy Team who merely say they have sent their comments direct to the case officer-how very open of them! The second new document is from the Influencing Travel Behaviour Team having a general moan about a lack of an updated plan to get passengers and staff out of their cars when travelling to and from LBA. They need to have a word with “Our Tracy” about the rail link. Plus they are most concerned about
“long stay secure cycle parking for
passengers.” Don’t get me started on that one!
My information is that the Council don't expect to make a determination this side of the New Year. No doubt they have more important plans to consider first. LBA are aware. As I understand it today just marks the end of the consultation period, the next stage being consideration of the application by the Plans Panel (West) the next meeting of which is on Thursday 29 October, followed by another on 26 November.
