Leeds Bradford: Airport Application To Amend Night Flying Quota Methodology

Use this prefix for new threads for Leeds Bradford Airport
Obvious that Yorkshire TV are mates with G***A. They just did a short item outlining the oroposed changes, quoting G***A (nobody else) then inviting the public to add their comments in the portal before the 15th. Without actually saying so, it was a clear invite to object. So much for media taking a neutral stance.

Any idea what the current positive and negative totals are?
They are meaningless as only the objections are logged plus any 'own words' support. The vast majority of the support remains invisible to the public and apparently we wont know the true amount until the figures are included in the Planning Officer's report and recommendations.

Bradford Council’s response to the planning application has just been put on the portal. Broadly supportive with reservations regarding some of the statistics on aircraft movements and its impact on road traffic patterns with a suggestion LBA pay for the A1, A2 and A3 airport buses to become a 24 hour service.

Well that sounds very positive from Bradford council, a few minor amendments here and there but generally supportive of the amendments to night flying. With the weight of Bradford Council surely Leeds City Council must take note of this, mind you this is Leeds we are talking about so anything can happen.

Heads Up!

i must be a lunatic. Friday 25th Sept will see me doing a daytrip that involves me leaving my flat in Manchester at 1am and not getting back home until after midnight. All because I'm doing a Loch Ness and Scottish Highlands trip.... out of Glasgow
For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
