Kicking the can down the road. Right now there's probably as much chance of the parkway happening as DSA reopening.

That really is a joke.
They’re now concerned over the structure of the land next the Bramhope tunnel , a full 177 years since they dig the tunnel itself.
We have an extraordinary lack of ambition and resilience in this country.

How much more money are they going to waste before it’s ditched? Total incompetency from both LCC and Brabin who are more concerned in dictating that everyone should be travelling by bus, cycling and walking. The public transport infrastructure in West Yorkshire is a shambles and an integrated Weaver Network is a pipe dream.

I for one, don't think we need a rail link unless it's going to come directly to the airport which we know will never happen.
Interesting to see other airports that have no direct or any rail link to them and they seem to be doing just fine.

You make a very valid point there BCFC and if it never happens I don't think it will be missed but something should be done by LCC to improve road access. That is needed though but unfortunately not in LCC's eyes.

However it could affect the committments the airport have made to LCC in terms of reducing car usage and pressure on the roads.

Also LBA is not connected to a nearby motorway and the local roads are very often congested therefore a rail link albeit from a Park and Ride Station nearby with a free shuttle right to the terminal building seems the way to go.
