Leeds Bradford: Ryanair Flights, New Routes & Base Updates

Use this prefix for new threads for Leeds Bradford Airport
It onced happened to me on a Ryanair flight from FAO to LBA.
The woman who sat next to me (I had the middle seat) was enormous, and I mean enormous and the blubber hung over so much as did the BO.
As soon as the seat belt sign was turned off thankfully she stood and walked to the rear galley and spent most of the flight there until the seat belt light came on for landing.
The thing that got me is when she originally sat down she stared at me as if to say ‘move up a bit’ but I stood my ground. They should be made to buy 2 seats as its just no fair for the poor sod sat next to them.

Just watched MOL's recent BRU press conference on YouTube. Sorry don't know how to post links but it's on the Ryanair Dff thread if anyone interested - it is 32 mins long. Typical MOL bullish attitude but in summary:
Lots of repeated use of the F word
Slags off Ursula Von Der Leyen repeatedly for aviation policy inaction in Europe
Particularly slags off the Belgian Govt repeatedly for raising aviation taxes and is why they are cutting aircraft, routes and bases at CRL and BRU moving a/c to places like Sweden, Italy, Slovakia and Hungary where aviation taxes are being abolished.
Confident of having 16 x Max10s for next summer.
Big increase in air fares for next year as current fuel hedging runs out from March 2027.
Predicting a 6m pax growth for FR next year being helped by other airline consolidation.
And most interestingly, which I know we have heard before, he says Norwegian and Wizz probably won't survive this coming winter, including referencing Volotea and Air Baltic in Chapter 11.
Predicts Europe will get to 4 big players - IAG, LHG, AF/KL group and of course........Ryanair.
Apologies if I have missed anything

Well I remember him claiming Jet2 would go bust about 10 years ago!

It's very naughty of him given Ryanair compete with Wizz on many routes. Possibly designed to get people to book Ryanair rather than Wizz, just in case?

Heads Up!

i must be a lunatic. Friday 25th Sept will see me doing a daytrip that involves me leaving my flat in Manchester at 1am and not getting back home until after midnight. All because I'm doing a Loch Ness and Scottish Highlands trip.... out of Glasgow
For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
