Yes but the early departures between 0600 and 0700 would no longer be night flights? They would be day flights.
He also mentioned 05:00 departures. Which seems to becoming the new normal around UK airports.

I saw both interviews too, I must admit I did wonder if the 10 extra flights was across the summer as a whole rather than 10 extra per night, 10 extra per night does seem like fantasy but 10 extra per summer season seemed a bit 'the other way', almost hardly worth bothering about.Just a thought......in a perfect world by LBA standards, where this S73 was approved, and further down the line, where would we even get 10 more based aircraft from? A couple from Jet2? Similar from Ryanair at best. That would still need 6 more and even if Easyjet came back in 2030 (the first year they indicated a capability of an LBA base) it wouldn't be a 6 aircraft base.
So where are these mystical 10 based aircraft that are going to result in extra night flights come from?
Frankly it seems like a fantasy rather than reality to expect 10 more based aircraft.
It was SS that mentioned an 0500 departure I think, when chatting after the interview, not Vincent. Vincent told the ACC there would be up to 3 additional early departures between 0600 and 0700, nothing before that, so quite honestly, I can't see where an extra 10 night flights come from without substantial base expansion by both Jet2 and Ryanair an Easyjet base on top, nor can I see what other carriers would base here other than oerhaps Loganair who would not normally operate at night. And all of that would need the remaining 8 stands to be built. He also mentioned 05:00 departures. Which seems to becoming the new normal around UK airports.
I agree, although whether its could or would, it remains difficult to see where they come from as morning departures wouldn't count. It would require 10 more based aircraft. Nice thought, but cannot see it myself. Not only that, but to accommodate another 10 and stay within the new annual noise quota count, most aircraft would need to be QC0.25, which would need Jet2 to replace most of its 737s here with A321NEOs and perhaps Ryanair to go to an all MAX based fleet. The impression I got was it would mean they could have an extra 10 flights per night, not there would be and extra 10.
You have forgotten the promised 4 aircraft TUI base..........oh wait!So where are these mystical 10 based aircraft that are going to result in extra night flights come from?

Why would VH say 10 if it was going to be less? From a PR perspective you just wouldnt would you?I agree, although whether its could or would, it remains difficult to see where they come from as morning departures wouldn't count. LBA is constrained by physical limitations of its infrastructure, terminal and taxiway system. The airport can only realistically handle 15-20 movements per hour anyway. We can assume most movements between 06:00 and 07:00 will be departures and most movements between 23:00 and 05:00 will be arrivals with the remaining night hours being a mix of departures and arrivals but in very low numbers.I agree, although whether its could or would, it remains difficult to see where they come from as morning departures wouldn't count. I understand what you are saying but it is good to see a party come out with something that sets them apart from the rest. They're all very much alike these days and I would argue that they're all rubbish and mostly in it for self interests.A: I hope he follows through, it'd be an improvement on many local politicians
B: I hope that doesn't alienate anyone thinking of supporting LBA. Reform is very marmite - you either love them or, like me, despise them
I’m like you but if this means the Reform Councillor on the Leeds West Plans Panel votes to approve the application all well and good despite the rest of his politics.A: I hope he follows through, it'd be an improvement on many local politicians
