And the sad thing is that the YP is reporting (with video) F&RS vehicles rushing onto the runway to attend to the plane. So Fire Tenders can now fly it seems - the Jet 2 plane went to Ringway and did a routine albeit precautionary landing. Runway inspection crew to pick up the corpses and any engine detrius, yes but
I thought August was the slow news month!

Jet2 appear to have problems this morning with possibly tech 300 and 800 aircraft. One 800 is apparently doing an engineering flight, LBA to LBA, and A321 G-HLYB is due in from MAN. Meanwhile the Mahon flight is delayed 2.5 hours and operating on 300 G-GDFL which was supposed to be going to Palma according to FR24. The Palma is also now delayed a couple of hours. So, my bestie, who is flying to Mahon now has the morning testing out the terminal extension and plane spotting.

HLYB looks not to have been required as currently doing MAN-AGP

EI-EKM operating tonight’s Warsaw to LBA flight has just declared an emergency over Holland and is descending. He has diverted to Amsterdam. 9H-QFE is currently positioning from Cherleroi to Amsterdam and now planned to operate from Amsterdam to LBA with an eta 2345

That would be a rare 'spot' at AMS.

Apparently one of the pilots lost consciousness during the flight. Hopefully they will make a speedy recovery.
Got me thinking, how would the pilot deal with that situation when it comes to informing the passengers there diverting to AMS, what would he/she say to not worry the pax, make something up 😂🙁

Heads Up!

i must be a lunatic. Friday 25th Sept will see me doing a daytrip that involves me leaving my flat in Manchester at 1am and not getting back home until after midnight. All because I'm doing a Loch Ness and Scottish Highlands trip.... out of Glasgow
For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
