I know that's why I said 5 years maybe... hotels ,crews planes etc you don't launch a destination overnight

CPH is served from some bases but only as Christmas market flights I belive. I think BHX more likely to see easyjet on that one.

Lisbon was added then disappeared again, did it actually operate? Very difficult airport to get slots.

Seville stands out as the most obvious one, maybe even Valencia too, or more into regional France?
 
Regional France is so hit and miss with Jet2. Previously, pre covid and probably before we Brexited, they served La Rochelle and looked to be growing a presence at Bergerac. La Rochelle no longer is served and Bergerac has been cut back.

Unfortunately those two political decisions and with the cost of been ripped off crisis and making the rich richer, the middle class clearly are moving towards the traditional market.

Or they are choosing to fly with the rivals easy and Ryanair who both offer a similar product at half the price.

Was there not also something about extra taxes for second home owners in France? If so I wonder if the numbers have dropped.

It's a shame as we once had a very extensive network in regional France with Flybe. Times change I guess.

There was a whisper once that Porto Santo was being looked at. Didn't seem to work for TUi though.
 
There is the same problem for all EU countries but most brits in France,Spain and Portugal have the struggle with timr they are allowed to stay in country unless they are a national

Don’t know if it’s been posted but I’ve noticed Antalya is up to 10 weekly and dalaman down to 9 weekly and Izmir down to 2 weekly.

Also noticed a flight on the jet2 schedule that a flight takes off at 5.35am

The services being added for Winter 25/26 from Birmingham Airport are as follows:

Extra Sunday services to Lanzarote from 15th February to 22nd March 2026.

Additional Saturday services to Alicante from 14th February to 28th March 2026.

Extra Tuesday services to Antalya, Funchal (Madeira) and Fuerteventura from 23rd December 2025 to 6th January 2026.

Extra Wednesday services to Gran Canaria from 24th December 2025 to 7th January 2026.

Season to Porto brought forward to include February half-term after twice-weekly flights (Thursday and Sunday) added from 12th February to 26th March 2026.

Additional Monday flying to Paphos from 10th November to 24th November 2025.

Extra Thursday services to Tenerife from 12th February to 26th March 2025.
