Wizz are still trying to deal with tech issues with their 321s so it shouldn't come as a surprise.Very underwhelming if you ask me
It doesn't. It's underwhelming as I previously stated. But yet see them expanding and adding other destinations..Wizz are still trying to deal with tech issues with their 321s so it shouldn't come as a surprise.
That's your opinion this is mine. Wizz are adding aircraft at bases where we have had a frequencies reduced/suspended. But sure..Not underwhelming but realistic given their 10% capacity reductions for the first half of 2024, which is affecting their whole network and seriously affecting their expansion plans and profit forecasts.
They`ve just been forced, kicking and screaming to pay over £1.2M in unjustly rejected 261 claims by the CAA as well...makes you thinkI will say it again but something isn’t right at Wizz. Yes they have engine issues, but to me that’s a smoke screen. I don’t know anything, just putting 2 and 2 together. Yes I may be getting 5 and I hope I am, but let’s just wait and see
Routes may have been performing well at LBA, but are other routes on Wizz Air's network performing better? If an airline is encountering difficulties with resources and cuts need to be made, they will cut the lower yielding routes in favour of the higher yielding ones. This would seem to indicate that other routes on the Wizz Air network are returning great yields than the routes dropped from LBA. If the airline didn't have resource issues, then the LBA services may well have continued. If as has been sensibly suggested they are focusing on the more profitable routes then that suggests the previous reports of Wizz performing really well at LBA are wide of the mark. If they are genuinely performing well then there is more to this than just engine issues.
It will be interesting to see what the airport have to say about this situation at the next ACC, it was they, after all that said Wizz were very happy with their perfomance at Leeds.Routes may have been performing well at LBA, but are other routes on Wizz Air's network performing better? Exactly. And if things were better than marginal then the number of diverts referred to by @LBA4EVER would be irrelevant, however he has a valid point. Something just doesn't add up to me. I have said before more than happy to be proven wrong but alas I fear I won't be.It will be interesting to see what the airport have to say about this situation at the next ACC, it was they, after all that said Wizz were very happy with their perfomance at Leeds.

Separately would A320s rather than 321s possibly reduce the number of diverts? If so why aren't they doing this,? It's definitely a strange one
